New metal detector - Minelab Explorer SE
Sure, I bought a new SE. and what happens? Rain. And more rain. So I’ve been reading and rereading the instruction manual. One thing for sure, this machine is much more complex (and heavier) than any of my others - except for the Nautilus. Reminds me of why I’ve always stuck to sound only machines. The display and setup for the Explorer will take some time and study to accomplish proper performance. Beacause of the complexity, I think it will be very easy to miss a lot of good targets due to improper setup. So I’ll read, and study, and wait for the rain to end. More later.
It is probably a good thing you haven’t had a chance to use it. I am sorely disappointed in it. See this post: http://treasurehunter.booklocker.com/2007/04/19/waiting-on-that-new-detector/
