Hi there I have an Explorer SE and man i tell you its so easy and fun, This is what i did, I used this Detector in Trpoli Libya on a Roman Site that was still under excavation, no people at all, And i hit my first "big big big find ever" NO JOKE BUDDY, It was about 1.8 feet deep, i USED the 16.5 inch ex-coil, the detector was giveing of the crazzyest souds i have ever heard in my life, what i found was a roman fat jug with 64 gold roman coins i still have them tell this day.

It is probably a good thing you haven't had a chance to use it. I am sorely disappointed in it. See this post: http://treasurehunter.booklocker.com/2007/04/19/waiting-on-that-new-detector/
